FPT, as among the pioneers in South East Asia to publicly introduce autonomous driving solutions, has been investing in R&D activities on autonomous driving technology since 2016. For the past few years, the company has conducted multiple researches and trial tests, develop and integrate advanced autonomous technologies. FPT’s pilot of autonomous car in high-tech zones and software parks has received a positive response from the Transport Ministry as it is in line with global trends and confirms to the Government’s agenda to foster Industry 4.0. In 2019, FPT will work on a joint project with two partners to develop a self-driving electric vehicle. The project marks a new development phase in FPT’s investment in autonomous driving. This promising collaboration will be established by an exclusive kick-off event with the participation of distinguished guests government agencies, real estate, hospitality and manufacturing industry together with local and foreign press representatives.
