In the recent company-wide competition whereas FPT Software’s employees were asked to write what they would contribute to the company goal of becoming a billion-revenue company in 2020, a “rookie” who just recently joined the company won the contest with a phenomenal article named “A newbie’s concerns”.
In his article, the winner Bui Quang Hieu shared his personal thought on how to recruit and retain quality staff. This is extremely valuable to the company as in the software industry, human resource is considered the greatest asset to compete and decide business survival. Possessing a strong crew team, wholeheartedly for the job is the best way for FPT Software to reach the 2020 goals. According to Hieu, human resource can only concentrate on working when the company can answer to their needs of capability development, will to dedicate as well as caring for the social life of employees.
The contest, namely “My 1B2020″, was launched to provide opportunities for FPT Software employees to share their thoughts, points of view on how to help FPT Software achieve the targets of $1 billion in revenue and 30,000 in personnel in 2020. The award for Hieu has shown that at FPT Software, everyone can share personal thought or ideas and leaders are willing to listen to anyone that can contribute to the company’s growth.
