migration will be the assessment and scoping of the project. Too many migration
projects focus on the technical solutions and data migration as critical issues.
While the technical solutions must be addressed the assessment is the most
critical stage to reduce the cost of the migration, have a manageable project
and maximize usage and value the destination platform

Assessment is divided into two main sections, detailed below.

The technical scan gives a picture of your Notes environment today and
eliminates no longer used and out of date databases.

The Detailed Rationalization Assessment determines the business value of all
remaining applications and assigns them for retirement, sun-setting,
consolidation or migration.

Output of the assessment stage is a detailed plan for remediation of every
Notes database in your environment, sizing for your new platform, and cost and
duration for the migration project implementation.

Light Assessment/Inventory Report: Current status of your Notes Environment,
including all databases, location, size, database type, and usage. FPT’s
internal tool or the tool of our partners quickly develops a current map of your
environment

Rationalization Assessment: Following the inventory stage the rationalization
project will focus on deciding the remediation pathway for all current Notes
databases. Pathways include deletion, archival, consolidation, and migration.
With this activity and report a complete picture of how to get off the Notes
platform is developed, and sizing and planning for future platforms is possible

Migration Plan: using the results of the Rationalization Assessment, a plan
for migration and removal of the Notes environment will be generated. This
includes the complexity, effort and duration to migrate applications, as well as
the first look at the implementation schedule.

Cost Proposal: Any cost proposal offered prior to completing the previous
activities will be filled with estimates and risk buffer. After the Assessment
