2010 set to be a year of low cost houses |
It is smaller cheaper houses that will sell
well in 2010 according to property experts. The demand for
apartments priced at VND15 million (about US$800) per square
meter or lower is believed to be very high.
According to Deputy Minister of Construction
Nguyen Tran Nam, in 2010, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi plan to
market 7,000-10,000 apartments for low and medium income
earners. As such, analysts believe that the apartments will
sell like hot cakes as soon as they are launched onto the
market.
Anticipating a high demand for apartments
with low prices in the post-economic downturn period, many
real estate developers have focused on low cost apartment
projects. To date, real estate developers have registered
263 low cost projects. Once operational, the projects will
provide 205,380 apartments to serve the housing demands of
821,520 people.

cable, and came second in the number of subscribers in
Cambodia.
FPT Telecom has been involved in the telecom
business in Cambodia for six months, mainly by selling

general director Nguyen Thanh Nam said that it is time for
FPT Telecom to enter Cambodia to directly serve users. The
Company plans to cooperate with Mekong Net, one of the two
