Two great successes achieved during PM’s trip to Russia
|
On December 19, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his
delegation arrived back in Hanoi, successfully concluding
their working visit to Russia and attendance at the United
Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The PM’s visit has deepened Vietnam-Russia relations. Both
Government leaders have paid great attention to dealing with
climate change and sea level rise in Vietnam. They showed
their determination to enhance the strategic partnership and
comprehensive cooperation by accelerating negotiations on an
agreement for a bilateral free trade area soon so as to
raise two-way trade turnover to US$10 billion in the future.
The two sides will also push for the establishment of a
Vietnam-Russia International University in Vietnam.
Additionally, businesses from both countries have signed a
number of agreements to expand bilateral cooperation in
traditional areas such as oil and gas, mining, electrical
energy, science, and technology.

Christmas atmosphere overwhelms FPT |
|
Christmas has become a happy time for the entire community
despite it being a Christian festival. The Christmas
atmosphere has overwhelmed FPT with lots of interesting
activities during the last days of 2009. Staff members’
working places and the lobbies of the offices are all
colorfully decorated with big pine trees and figures of
Santa Claus riding reindeers, etc. Many subsidiary companies
have organized their own events for staff members for
instance: The “Jingle Jingle” Festival in FPT Software Ho
Chi Minh City branch on December 22 with the involvement of
more than 400 members, a series of promotion programs by FPT
Distribution, etc. Meanwhile, the Capital city’s streets are
also full of Christmas atmosphere. It seems that Christmas
is not only the biggest festival of the year for Christians
but also an occasion for families to get together. Hanoi
alone will see some 40,000 Catholics and Protestants welcome
in Christmas at churches across the City.
