FPT BECOMES MICROSOFT'S LARGE ACCOUNT RESELLER
Leading Vietnamese IT firm, FPT Corporation, has been recognized as Microsoft's large account re-seller (LAR) in Vietnam. This follows on closely after the Enterprise Agreement (EA) which was signed between Microsoft and the Government of Vietnam on May 21st, witnessed by the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, during the CEO's recent first trip to Vietnam.
With this recognition, the Corporation will be entitled to deliver licensed Microsoft Office software and support services to the central government and local authorities. FPT will also be able to place orders with Microsoft and implement large contracts with Vietnam's partners on behalf of the IT giant.

The P1 project group, which migrates nearly 500 applications to the Microsoft platform for a leading Malaysia's oil and gas company, was one of two groups to attain the highest Production Points for the first half of 2007. The evaluation was recorded, measured and reported by FPT Software Quality Assurance Department, based on the criteria of project quality, project processes, and customer satisfaction.
The third "Open Door Day" organized by FPT Software's Ho Chi Minh City Branch in June, attracted 400 students specializing in IT and Japanese. Among them, 10 applicants were directly selected to work for the branch.
FPT ONLINE NEWSPAPER VNEXPRESS AMONG TOP 100 GLOBALLY POPULAR WEBSITES
In June, VnExpress, FPT's online newspaper, was ranked 98th by Alexa, a web information subsidiary of Amazon.com, in its poll of the most widely read websites around the world - a milestone in Vietnam's online content development.
After more than 6 months among the Top 200 websites (October 2006 onwards), VnExpress became Vietnam's first site to make the Top 100. Among the millions of websites accessed by Vietnamese people, the most popular is yahoo.com followed by google.com.vn and then VnExpress, which has a readership of 2.4 million people and receives over 7 million hits each day.
FPT PARTNERS WITH APTECH TO OPEN 20 NEW IT&MULTIMEDIA TRAINING CENTER IN VIETNAM
Indian global learning solutions giant, Aptech Ltd. (Aptech) signed an MOU with FPT, Vietnam's leading IT Corporation to open 20 new IT & Multimedia training centers in Vietnam by 2008 and expects the total revenue from the education business for the three years 2007-2009 to be over USD 30 million.
Mr. R. Krishnan, Executive Director, Aptech Ltd., and Dr. Truong Gia Binh, CEO, FPT Corporation, who visited India as a member of a high-level business delegation accompanying the Vietnamese Prime Minister to India, signed the MOU.
Aptech and FPT fostered a business alliance in 1999 to create a skilled IT workforce for the Vietnam Software Industry. To date, Aptech & FPT have scaled up the Vietnam operations to 31 Centers, offering the ACCP (Aptech Computer Certified Professional) and AMSP (ARENA Multimedia Specialist Program) curriculum.
